Branch 12 Trailhead Access
You need a 4x4 vehicle with good clearance to get to the Branch 12 trailhead. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to get to the trailhead from Pemberton.
Drive through the town of Pemberton and travel west on the Pemberton Meadows Road
Turn RIGHT onto Lillooet River Forest Service Road and cross the Lillooet River Bridge
Zero your odometer at bridge, you will be on gravel from this point on
Approximately 7km take the right hand turn (up) to the Hurley Main
After about 13km look for the Hurley River/Tenquille Branch sign “Branch 12” and turn right
Mainly 4×4 access beyond turnoff, distance to the trailhead is about 5km
Some 2WD vehicles with good clearance can drive part way down Branch 12 and park in the designated parking area approximately 2km from turnoff. Past this point 4X4 vehicles are strongly recommended. The culverts have been removed, expect 48 water bars beyond this point. 4x4 with GOOD CLEARANCE is essential.
DO NOT PARK BLOCKING THE ROAD. ENSURE FREE AND EASY ACCESS FOR ALL VEHICLES

The grade of this trail is generally quite gentle, and the route offers views of the Pemberton Valley, Copper Dome and other mountain peaks. After hiking for approximately 5km, you’ll reach the meadows at Tenquille Pass before descending to Tenquille Lake.
